Naval Documents of the American Revolution

About The Project

With more than 22,000 documents, the Naval Documents of the American Revolution are a rich resource for anyone studying the early United States Navy and the American Revolution. Each volume has more than one thousand annotated documents, all of which are now searchable online. Introductions to the volumes discuss the history of the series and the many people who contributed to, what President William J. Clinton described as a “monumental publishing project.”

A November 2017 Maritime Heritage Grant from the District of Columbia Historic Preservation Office made this digital edition of the Naval Documents of the American Revolution possible.
